Najwa
Farah is a palestinian writer, who has been contributing
to palestinian and arabic literature for over
five decades, in periodicals, radio and books.
She was born in Nazareth in 1923; she graduated
from the teachers training college of mandatory
palestine and taught in various schools. She married
the Revd. Rafiq Farah in 1950 in Haifa, but the
family moved in 1965 to Jerusalem, then to Ramallah
in the West Bank in 1968. In 1977 she and her
family lived in Beriut, Lebanon during the lebanese
Civil war, and in 1985 moved to London U.K. and
presently she now resides in Toronto, Canada. |
